The First Thirty Days
4 cards · about a minute
Week one: stop adding
Take away the extras first, the biscuits, the table scraps, the third kind of chew, and change nothing else, so you can see what the food alone does.
Week two: one change
Introduce the new food or the supplement now, a quarter at a time across four days; two changes at once tells you nothing when something improves.
Week three: read the stool
By the third week it should be firmer and more regular. That is the first honest signal, and it arrives well before energy or coat do.
Week four: hold it
Thirty days shows you the direction, not the destination, so hold the routine steady: a gut needs about ninety days to settle for good.
