Working on emotions, not just timing, when correcting dog fights
Sunny Luthra introduced a shift in the OhMyDog method: instead of relying only on the old 10 to 15 second correction window, trainers should first read how intense a dog's emotion is, especially in fights, heat-cycle aggression, or fear, since emotion drives the behaviour and the dog links corrections to the feeling itself, not just to the trigger. He explained that tethering a reactive dog and physically stepping away mimics how a pack withdraws from unacceptable emotion, which is why isolating a dog can work even when done for the wrong reasons. Members brought real cases including a fight between Brownie and another dog, Wolfy's chewing and guest reactivity, an Indie's sleep-startle biting, chewing from boredom versus separation anxiety, and the effect of training two dogs separately, and each was reframed through this emotion-first lens. The call closed with a short discussion on the limits of episodic memory in dogs and the concept of a canine trance state.

Reading Frustration vs Territorial Aggression: The Gooddu Dog Case
Sunny Luthra led the group through a viral video of a dog named Gooddu, teaching members how to tell true territorial aggression apart from frustration caused by a teasing human. The session covered how to spot whether a dog is bluffing or genuinely likely to bite, and worked through real client cases including a newlywed household's frustrated dog, a fearful dog named Chai, and a redirected bite from a powerful dog called Bhaisahab. The call also recapped the sequence for correcting nervous dogs and the three memory types, and closed with a discussion on vets overusing antibiotics and steroids and why short fasting periods are normal.

Kidney stones, hill dogs, bear encounters and inherited instinct
This OhMyDog Pro call opened with Kashish describing her dog's suspected UTI and kidney stone symptoms, leading Sunny to prescribe kidney tests and explain how excess calcium and cholesterol cause stones and muscle tremors. A large part of the call covered Bhavna's move to Uttarakhand, where she is preparing her dogs Doodle and Gulab for a jungle environment with bears, leopards and working village dogs, prompting deep discussion on leash training, genetic memory and instinct versus learned behaviour, including the caterpillar-to-butterfly memory experiment. The group then discussed how breeding for work shapes mating-driven instinct, Ashita's questions on Singapore's debarking practice and how dogs process trauma differently from humans, and Manya's questions on puppies eating cat faeces, post-spay growling, and the risks of casually giving deworming and tick medicines like Bravecto and Simparica.
