Should a dog be vaccinated for rabies again if they were chased by stray dogs but a bite wasn’t observed?

Hello Sir, yesterday my dog was chased by stray dogs. I didn’t find any bite would on my German shepherd but still i am worried, should I vaccinate her for anti rabies vaccine again……

Summary: Poornima, a dog owner, was asking for advice after her dog Daisy was chased by stray dogs. Even though Daisy showed no signs of fear or anxiety and no bite marks were found on her dual coat, the owner was still worried about the chance of her catching rabies. Daisy already had the initial rabies vaccination and was due for another one in November. The owner decided to give Daisy an ARV for precaution and was seeking confirmation that this was the right course of action.

  1. Is the initial rabies vaccination done? Also biting is not the primary nature, they just want the dog to stay away from their territory, if the dog is running away then they will not bite but chase.

  2. Yes Sir, she is vaccinated and it’s again due in November but our Vet gave her ARV yesterday only for the precaution
