A year of assessed study and mentorship for people who intend to practise dog behaviour professionally. Taught in Hindi, examined one-to-one by Sunny Luthra, and awarded only on demonstrated competence.

Rationale
Why this standard exists
Walk into any city in India and you will find dozens of people working as dog trainers, behaviourists, walkers and consultants. Most have never formally studied any of the following.
- How a dog’s mind works
- What body language signals mean in context
- The role of energy in shaping behaviour
- How human emotions and family patterns affect a dog
- Why obedience training fails for real behavioural problems
So families pay for advice that does not work, and dogs get labelled stubborn or aggressive when they are anxious, confused or unfulfilled. Some are rehomed. This certification exists to close that gap.

Conditions of admission
The programme is written for three kinds of candidate.

A working dog professional who wants real depth
You already train, walk, groom, board or rescue. You have reached the ceiling of obedience-based work and want to handle the cases nobody else will take.

Building toward a career in dog behaviour
You are not in the industry yet but you know this is the path. You want to learn it properly from the start rather than assemble it from free video.
- 03
Already helping people unofficially
You are the friend everyone calls about their dog. You want the knowledge structure and the standing to do it formally.
Not admitted
People looking for a shortcut, people who want a certificate for a bio, and people unwilling to work on themselves as well as on dogs.
Scheme of study
6 modules, taught in Hindi
Each module builds on the one before it, so the programme is not sold as individual lessons.

Foundations of dog psychology
How a dog’s mind works. Communication and body language. Species, breed and individual personality. Everything after this rests on it.
- 02
Behaviour problems and root causes
Anxiety, reactivity, aggression, hyperactivity, fear. Reading the symptom, finding the cause underneath it, and designing the path forward.
- 03
Structure, rituals and daily balance
The walk. Rules and boundaries. Fulfilment and leadership. The daily rituals that produce a balanced dog, and why most behaviour problems shrink once structure is in place.

Understanding energy
Calm assertive energy against nervous energy. High-drive and low-drive dogs. Managing your own state, because a nervous handler produces a nervous dog.
- 05
Human emotions and family patterns
A dog mirrors its household. Coaching the humans and repairing the home dynamic, because behaviour change does not hold in a home that has not changed.
- 06
Becoming a professional behaviourist
Positioning, pricing, ethics, client management. Building a practice and a reputation, the work most courses leave out entirely.
Assessment
How the award is earned
There is no auto-graded quiz. Every stage is examined by a person.

Study the lessons
Pre-recorded video lessons, worked at your own pace, with written material issued alongside them.
- 02
Submit the assignments
An assignment accompanies almost every lesson. They show the examiner how you think.
- 03
Sit the theory examination
A one-to-one theory examination at the mid-point, with unlimited retakes. You sit it until you know the material.
- 04
Complete the practical work
Structured exercises with a real dog, your own or any dog you have access to, recorded and submitted for the examiner’s feedback.
- 05
Present your case studies
Real dogs in real situations, written up and defended. This is where the examiner sees whether you can apply what you have studied.

Sit the final evaluation
A one-to-one interview with the examiner, solving live case studies. Pass and the award is made. If not, you retake it.

Weekly live mentorship calls
Bring your questions, your cases and your stuck points. Two standing slots: Friday 1:00 PM and Sunday 7:30 PM. Attend either.
A private community of working peers
Everyone in the room paid their way in and is doing the work. Case-sharing, discussion and argument.
Direct access to the examiner and mentor team
You are not left alone with recordings. You have direct access to the people who set the standard.
Mentorship continues until you are capable
If you complete the programme and still do not feel ready to take real cases, mentoring continues at no additional fee.
The examiner
Examined by Sunny Luthra
Sunny sets the standard, teaches the live calls, and sits the final evaluation.
Founder of OhMyDog.Rocks and a dog behaviourist. He has worked with Indian dog parents on behaviour problems since 2015 and built the community around this practice. He sits across from you at the final evaluation.
His approach is psychology first, structure second. He built this certification because too many dogs were being handled by people who had never studied them.

We cannot promise you a practice. This is what the certificate gives you to build one with.

01When does Batch 3 open?
No opening date has been announced. We open one batch at a time, and when Batch 3 opens we tell the people who asked first. Message us on WhatsApp to be on that list.
02Can I still join Batch 2?
No. Batch 2 is full and already working through the scheme. Admitting people mid-programme would break the cohort, which is most of what makes the mentorship work.
03Will the fee change for Batch 3?
Batch 2 was admitted at ₹15,999 per year. The Batch 3 fee is confirmed when that intake opens, and the people on the WhatsApp list hear it first.
04What language is the programme taught in?
Hindi. Lessons, live calls and the evaluation are all conducted in Hindi.
05Do I need prior experience with dogs?
No formal experience is required. What is required is a willingness to do the work, to observe dogs honestly, and to be coached.
06Is the course live, pre-recorded, or book-based?
Pre-recorded video lessons you work at your own pace, plus weekly live calls where Sunny teaches and takes questions. Written material is issued alongside the lessons.
07Are there fixed timings for the live sessions?
Two standing slots: Friday at 1:00 PM and Sunday at 7:30 PM. Attend whichever suits you.
08Is this only theory?
No. You submit real case studies and sit a one-to-one evaluation interview. Nobody is certified until they can demonstrate real understanding to the examiner.
09How do the assessments and examinations work?
Assignments accompany almost every lesson. There is a mid-point one-to-one theory examination, then practical exercises with a dog, and finally a one-to-one evaluation solving real case studies. Pass and you are certified; if not, you retake it.
10Do I need my own dog for the practical work?
Not necessarily. Any dog you have regular access to will do. You record your practical sessions and submit them for feedback. If you have no access to a dog at all, tell us and we will work out a path.
11How long does it take to complete?
Most candidates finish in three to six months. Mentorship access runs for a full year regardless of pace.
12What exactly do I receive at the end?
On meeting the requirements you are certified as an OhMyDog Certified Behaviour Professional, Level 1.
13Will you help me grow on Instagram?
Yes. Branding and positioning guidance is part of the programme, aimed at authority rather than follower counts.
14Will you recommend me to clients?
If your work meets the standard, you are considered for the OhMyDog Pro Network. The network is being built around certified graduates.
15Is there support after the programme ends?
Yes. Monthly one-to-one calls with Sunny and continued access to the professional community are available by renewing your subscription.
16Do I lose access to the material when the year is up?
No. Course access is permanent. The community and the live mentorship calls are what require an active subscription.
